What is SA REPS?

The SA Government Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS) is an initiative designed to encourage householders and businesses to save energy. Saving energy reduces the costs of network and infrastructure upgrades, it also helps to achieve our annual carbon emissions targets. A small levy (much like the Medicare levy) is applied to your energy bills for the REPS, and accredited companies like MAC Trade Services are contracted to provide a series of rebated and discounted energy saving services (like bulk billing providers). These discounted activities include upgrading your Dryers, Fridges and Freezers and receiving a cashback.

How to Claim Your Cash Back

1. Purchase an energy-efficient dryer, fridge, or fridge/freezer.
2. Head over to the MAC Trade Services portal here and enter your appliance’s brand and model number to see how much cash you can claim.
3. Complete your application.
4. Once your application is approved, you'll receive your rebate within 60 days.
