We’ve recently been notified by a member of the public of an Instagram account designed to look like a certified Betta account. Phishing and impersonating scams are attempt to trick someone into providing information such as online login usernames and passwords.
If you receive an direct message from this account asking you to click on a link to login to your Club Betta account, delete it immediately. Betta will never send you a link that directly opens up our sign in page, or any links requesting your personal or financial information. Always type www.betta.com.au into your browser to access our website and login to your account.

We have recently been notified by a member of the public of a social media phishing message or scam on Facebook and Instagram which states the recipient has been chosen as a winner of a current competition.
This scam is directly related to the current Westinghouse Front Load Washing Machine competition, in which the message received is designed to look like it originated from Betta.
Please do not click the link in these received messages. We also suggest that you block and report the page as soon as possible after receiving.

Clicking the link may direct you to a website that asks for personal information, or even download a virus that compromises information stored on your phone.
Email Phishing Scams
These scams will attempt to trick you into providing personal or financial information.

Be on the lookout for communication that contains the following:
An unusual looking link, or one with spelling errors can be a sign of a scam.
Scams will suggest you could miss out or incur consequences if you don't act quickly.
You may be asked to open an attachment you weren't expecting to receive.
Scams will request personal or sensitive information from you.
If you receive an offer that sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
