Recently Samsung initiated a recall of six models of top loader washing machines manufactured between 2010 to 2013. The model codes for the affected units are:

Under the Australian Consumer Law, consumers are entitled to approach either the supplier or manufacturer for a remedy for a product that has suffered a major failure. Customers who purchased one of the affected Samsung top loaders are entitled to have a re-work (to resolve the recall issue) a refund or a replacement (at their election), which is provided free of charge by Samsung.
Betta & Samsung would like to ensure your fault is rectified as easy and seamless as possible by following one of the below of your choice with the procedure:
- Refund or Replacement – contact the Betta store you originally purchased the unit from. The store will provide a full refund of the goods at the original purchase price or replace the unit with goods of the same value/ type of what is reasonably available in store. The Samsung unit will need to be surrendered to the store at this time.
- Re-work/ Repair – please follow the instructions on the Samsung notice to have your unit repaired.
